Should Christians Drink Alcohol? by Keith Malcomson

This article is placed here as a free on-line article for your use and blessing. Since this article was placed on-line two years ago it has consistantly been a number one hit. In the light of this and the good feed back recieved from so many we will soon have this booklet available in a slighly enlarged and perfected book format for purchase.

The social drinking of alcohol and strong drink has been promoted by key preachers, teachers and leaders and as a result has swept across the church overnight. What was anathema yesterday is strongly encouraged today. Leaders may well say that they believe in moderation, that is drinking alcohol in small amounts so as not to get drunk, but the sad case is that what I have seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears in a number of different countries is that this has led to tipsiness, drunkenness and loose living amongst rank-and-file believers. This is an urgent response.

New Book on Alcohol & the Bible coming in  2012

We hope to have a new book published well before the end of the year which will deal far more thoroughly in a much enlarged manner than in this present article. It is the result of a further two years of study on top of the time taken for the above article. It will be clear, concise, easy to read, reasonably priced, good to pass on but thorough in facing the  main arguements promoted by those supporting social drinking.

Please remember this project in prayer. We believe the Lord is leading us in this and we need wisdom in knowing  the best means to publish, promote and distribute it. We hope that we will be  able to make it available as an ebook and possibly kindle as well.

Any feed back on the below article (positive and negative) will be weighed and considered over the coming months as we finish the book.
