Quotes by Keith Malcomson
"Anyone can comment on the rights and wrongs of the church; very few will do something about it. We do not need more talking heads, we need men who will pray with Holy Ghost travail, preach with Holy Ghost unction, men who weep over lost souls, who spend nights in prayer, who are dead to their own ambitions, dreams, desires, goals, promotion, and who with genuine desire do all to the edifying of the body and to glorify Jesus Christ."
"Where you see no cross and no death to self you can be sure there is no true Gospel and no true converts. This is the great tragedy of this hour. We can have Christ, Salvation, forgiveness, Heaven and blessings all without walking this way of denial through death at the cross. We have defined, invented and accepted a definition of what a Christian is that is utterly rejected by Christ in the Gospel's."
"The simple uncomplicated instrument which God has chosen to fulfil this commission is the Church. It was given a world-wide commission and vision from its very beginning. Every member of every church carried this commission in their heart. God’s purpose has not changed."
"Sadly the task carried by every member of the early church as seen in Acts has now been handed over to mission societies and special ministries. Most mission societies are doing the work of the local church instead of recalling each local church back to its God-ordained commission of being Christ’s tool and instrument in fulfilling the Great Commission."
"Every Church in the Book of Acts from the large one at Jerusalem in Judea to the small one in Philippi in Macedonia was caught up in the great commission given by Christ. Every local Church is called to hold this commission as their personal commission."
"Secrecy and a double-tongue have always been tools of Satan. Truth, honesty and openness have always been the character of God's true people."
"...when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying." (1Co 14:26). Our gathering together around the Lord's table is not a free for all open meeting, but a Spirit directed gathering where the Lord moves, speaks and works through each member according to the grace and gifting He has granted and is operated by the portion of faith possessed."
"A true revival will result in soul winning and the furtherance of the gospel."
"A true revival will always be marked by death to self."
"A true revival will be marked by deep conviction of sin - or has God changed?"
"A true Revival will be marked by holiness."
"Since the days of Nehemiah the Lord has chosen vessels, sometimes young, sometimes old, to be a prepared vessel used in His hand at a time of great visitation."
"When the fire burns low other things come in to occupy, entertain or to fill up time. The Devil will gladly entertain and amuse Christians with seemingly harmless things while a lost world on our door step goes to Hell without Christ.Even work, business and family may become a thing to occupy us rather than a thing by which we might serve Christ."
"Better to be poor and rich in faith than rich and poor in faith."
"The Bible predicts a wild flurry in the "last days" to store up earthly treasures of silver and gold. This is exactly what has been happening in an ever encreasing manner for two years and more. But this will backfire because it will become a curse rather than a blessing (Jm.5:3). The believer who gets caught up in the foolishness of securing themselves physically and financially in this hour will find themselves loosing out spiritually. Our whole focus must be to give our selves to a spiritual preparation as never before."
"There will come a latter rain (Holy Ghost revival) just before Jesus returns which will bring in one last harvest. To endure until such will demand patience."
"'Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door." (5:9) A warning is given here to believers about their attitude one toward another. To 'grudge' means 'to murmur, grumble, and sigh.' In this present spiritual famine and future coming international crisis hearts are being tested. Keep your eyes upon that day when you stand before Him."
"The five-fold commission given by Christ is His marching orders to the Church. This is Christ’s call to every preacher, every believer and every church. This theme dominates our view as we scan the first 33 years of Church history in the Book of Acts as it spreads from Jerusalem to Rome."
"The Lord will bypass whole provinces' cities' and villages' in search of a hungry heart for Gods Word. Are you hungry this?"
"This enduement of power called the promise of the Father and the baptism of the Holy Ghost was ordained of God for the purpose of empowering weak vessels to become witnesses of Christ in the entire world. The only strategy, method and tactic of the Early Church was the power, guidance, direction and control of the Holy Spirit. True evangelism is working in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. We must return to this simple method again."
"Today the church has forgotten its missionary character. We are not living up to the example of the church in the Book of Acts. In the beginning the Church was a mission society: it added to its numbers mainly by the life and speech of its individual members. Every believer was a worker, warrior and witness. That Early Church was a Missionary Church. Wherever individual believers travelled, worked and settled new churches sprung up naturally. They succeeded where we have failed. The Church of our day either relegates its responsibility to: 1. A Mission Society 2. Or young short-term missionaries."
"The great commission is not the task of getting a decision or a convert: it is the task of following through until a fully functioning church exists in each community."
"The only thing that stood in time between Christ's Great Commission and the first 33 years of Early Church history was Pentecost - An experience of power granted through the infilling of the Holy Spirit by which they were enabled to perform the Great Commission by carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Why would we invent a new strategy or plan? Lets stay with the means God has always blessed."
"The Pentecostal commission can only be carried out by a Pentecostal Church in Pentecostal power."
"Does the Church still believe that exaggeration is a sin? The Holy Spirit who killed a couple in Acts 5 for exaggeration now commends, helps, uses and promotes preachers, leaders and believers who stretch the truth, invent stories, who double numbers and who fabricate stories! There is something seriously wrong with this! Or am I too extreme as usual?"
"How precious is Gods Word to a hungry heart. The great problem is lack of hunger. A morsel is very precious to a hungry heart in famine. If there is no desperate hunger for truth it means you have died!"
"Do we reveal by our lives, thoughts, words and deeds that we truely believe what we say Amen to in Gods Word?"
"So much contemporary worship is a mere show of the flesh, and of the skill and pride of man. True worship is clothed in humility and utter adoration of Christ where man DISAPPEARS into the background LEAVING CHRIST TO BE GLORIFIED."
"The early Church of Acts 2 continued steadfastly in fellowship with each other. Christ was the centre and focus of that fellowship and the Holy Spirit governed it. When fellowship amongst believers deteriates into something else there is a terrible lack. There must be a persistant resistance to every enenmy of fellowship. It must be gaurded, checked and tested."
"Much fellowship amongst believers becomes a drawing unto self instead of Christ. Human personality puts man at the centre, Christian character puts Christ at the centre."
"A nice personality may be the veneer to hide a darkened soul, disobedient heart or a rebellious spirit. Personality is not Christian character, and a personality enjoyed by all is not necessarily pleasing to God."
"The Dove of the Holy Spirit who inhabited the early Church was so sensitive that He would not tolerate a lie in His holy habitation (Acts 5). As a result he killed two liars who had given a lot of money to the Church! It is not always the outward act but the inward motive that reveals reality."
"Oh for pure vessels who will reveal the character and nature of Christ again out of pure hearts. The greatest hindrance to revival is when this is lost."
"Our three-fold commission - The evangelisation of the world, edification of the church and glorification of Christ."
"The people of God must gather ONLY to the Blood stained Cross. That alone is the power of God to salvation. New gimmicks and games produce false converts. But when men meet the Christ of Calvary they are transformed."
"No wonder the new contemporary church lives in sin - it first departed from the Blood, the Cross and the Christ of Calvary."
"Just as faith and prosperity preachers who constantly beg for money reveal their lack of faith, so also so-called Spirit-filled Churches which turn constantly to gimmicks, games and entertainment reveal the absence of a reliance upon, as well as the presence and power of the Holy Spirit."
"A revived Church is a Spirit-birthed, Spirit-filled and Spirit-led Church"
"Any preacher who is serious about building God’s people into a dwelling place where God can manifest His glorious presence will be sure to build upon Christ alone and to preach Christ alone."
"We are indeed to speak the truth. But to speak it without genuine love is as bad as not to speak truth at all. The man who speaks truth without love stands on the same ground as the man who thinks he is so loving that he cannot speak truth. Although opposites these two are bedfellows and both fall short of obedience to God's Word. Speaking the truth in love will cost both these characters a death to self."
Some are ashamed of the message of repentance but Christ was not.
My heart burns within me for a move of the Spirit of God. These Nations may lie deep in darkness and terrible apostasy. But God shall yet raise up a remnant through prevailing prayer which shall be His voice to restore glory to His name and bring forth praise from those fast bound by Hell and Satan.
"Likewise must deacons be grave, not doubletongued..." this word doubletongued means to say one thing to one person and something different to another with the purpose of decieving. Such a manner will disqualify and unfit a man for deaconship or practical natural work in the church. How much more will it unfit a man for spiritual leadership and ministry of the Word in the church?!!!
"If ministry is not the laying down of our lives, out of love for other people, then what is it?" KM
Foolish vessels will never be honoured by the Holy Spirit in carrying forth the true gospel to the nations. If He did He would have to change His character then the scriptures He inspired!
A man of God is not a flirt or a womanizer
Any one teaching that a believer does not have to confess their sin, repent of it, and experience a fresh cleansing of the Blood of Jesus Christ is walking in serious error. This is a dangerous anti-biblical contemporary teaching that contradicts God's Word.
